This was one of six photos I took for my week 11 photography assignment. It depicts POV. I took this photo looking up at our fence from the sunken bar which is below ground level. It looks to me like the dove is watching his step between a rock and hard place — an alien gecko and a saguaro. No, it doesn’t have anything to do with the article — except it’s quirky. Read on to see what quirky things Uber drivers found left behind.
This is the ninth year Uber has released a list of the oddest items left. We’re not talking umbrellas, wallets or keys — which make it on their list of most common items left.
Here are Ubers Top 20 list of unique items that made it into lost and found:
“From wayward mannequin heads to live lobsters, Uber riders have left behind some truly unforgettable items this year,” said Camiel Irving, VP of Operations and GM of Mobility US&C at Uber. “Whether essential or totally unusual, we understand how important it is to be reunited with your lost belongings. The Uber Lost & Found Index celebrates the most unique and commonly forgotten items, while reminding riders that getting support to retrieve their prized possessions is simple through the Uber app.”

I don’t have much chance of leaving stuff in Ubers or Lyfts. They don’t like to drive this far out of the way. Good luck if you come visit me to get an Uber ride anywhere from our home. Once I came home from Washington after visiting my mom. My husband had COVID and couldn’t come to the airport to pick me up. I got a Lyft and when the driver looked at the map with my home address, he wasn’t happy. He called his wife, told her she had to find another ride home from work. He called his son, told him to pick up mom. I sat in the back seat feeling guilty!
