Kitten Olive with her best friend Angus, may they both rest in peace.
It’s been a sad few days for me. But I’m forcing myself to go outside and walk. I also spent time going through all the Olive photos on my iphone. I’m sharing some of my favorites here today.

Olive enjoying the Palm Springs lifestyle.

Olive found herself locked in the car. I have no idea how that happened. She was deathly afraid of cars and hated them.

A picture taken by my daughter on one of Olive’s first days with us.
Below is Olive enjoying indoor/outdoor life in Palm Springs.

Indoor Arizona life.

My favorite photo of Olive.

Closet cruising.

A stowaway in my suitcase.

My pretty kitty.
Which is your favorite Olive photo? And why?

Oh EA, this breaks my heart. It is so hard to lose a pet member of the family. Olive was a lady with a clear personality for sure. My favorites were always the ones of her sitting in the empty suitcases before you planned to travel. She didn’t need any words to convey exactly what she was thinking.
Thank you, Deb. Every time the suitcase came out she protested. She was a character.
I love her as a tiny kitten 🐈⬛
She was so adorable. I’m feeling a little better enjoying the memories.
She was. I’m glad that her memory is bringing you peace
💕
Oh, what a beautiful tribute Elizabeth. And what wonderful pixs. The toilet paper pic is too funny. She’s telling you it’s the dog’s fault. Hang in there. Give yourself time to grieve.
Thank you, Brian. The photos and memories made me feel less sad. She was a treasure.
You can see her personality come through in those pixs.
Yes you can. She was a hoot and kept me entertained.
While my heart is breaking for you and the loss of your beautiful Olive, I had to smile at the video. She looks so blasé at something that would drive our feline stark raving mad with frustration.
Favorite picture?
The toilet paper tantrum.
💕
I’m so glad I recorded some of Olive’s quail encounters. I love the toilet paper tantrum. That was a regular occurrence and then it magically stopped.
She reminds me of an elegant character in a stand alone novel! My lady, Sheba, passed away a few years ago as she was caught in traffic outside. Our pug and I discovered her on our walk. It was very sad but for the long time she was with us as an outside save-her mom choose our home to have kittens in our backyard retreat-she had a great life! Sometimes that is the most you can do! Thanks for the share.
I’m sorry about your Sheba. I’ve had the same experience of discovering my cats. It’s not a pleasant experience. One was 17, Sherman, and he crossed the street to a vacant house across the street. The dog next door jumped the wall and Sherman wasn’t fast enough to get away.
Mr. D says they all are his favorites. I’m partial to the one with Olive and Angus. What a beautiful and precious cat she was! We’re sending lots of love!
Thank you, Wynne. The photos of my animals on the Costco bed sleeping together is so heart warming. I forgot they did that every night next to our bed. I’m glad that Mr. D enjoyed the photos, too.
I love the indoor Arizona one. They are all beautiful though. She was a gorgeous kitty. I am so sorry that you have lost her.
Thank you. Looking back over the past year, I realize now she was getting sick. But then she’d bounce back and I’d be so relieved. Until this past weekend.
I’m so sorry to hear about Olive. She was such a beauty with a fierce spirit. It’s so hard to lose a pet–they really are part of the family.
Thank you, Erin. It happened so quickly. I dropped her off at the vet and then got a phone call an hour later that her numbers on her liver and kidneys were 10 times too high.
Heartbreaking. I am so sorry.
I love the toilet paper picture! She looks like she had a grudge against you. 🤣
Sweet Olive. I’ve been thinking about you this week.
Thank you. It’s not as bad as losing you losing your father, but it’s still an adjustment.
Loss is loss, my friend. 😘❤️
It is. We love our pets as members of our family. The house feels so lonely. I wake up in the middle of the night, thinking I hear Olive munching on her Friskies.
Oh, Elizabeth. Pets are family. Give yourself plenty of time to grieve Olive. I am sending you so much love.
Thank you! It’s much appreciated.
Elizabeth I liked the photo of Olive in a negative mood because I remember her doing that stunt when I was using your guest room on a visit with you in Palm Springs. The last time I saw her which was in AZ she was so warm and welcoming to me. I am so sorry for your loss of Olive.
Thank you, Aunt Linda. I knew you’d enjoy the negative mood photo. Her expression is priceless.
Olive was such a gorgeous cat, with tons of personality. Thank you for sharing your memories of your precious kitty.
Thank you! You described her perfectly. She was our pretty kitty, but had even more personality.
Toilet paper kitty! She doesn’t exhibit once ounce of remorse in that face.😆
She’s defiant, right?
Losing someone you love is so difficult, my heart goes out to you. The photos show so many aspects of her personality: playful, inquisitive, supportive … I think the collection as a whole is what works 🥰
Thank you! It really helped me to look through all the memories.
Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving.
Thanks! You too!
This is a beautiful celebration of your sweet Olive, Elizabeth. The photos are precious, and the one with the toilet paper made me smile. I hope your Thanksgiving is a blessed one with these wonderful memories, even though grief is within reach. ❤️
Thank you! Yes, the photos made me smile, too.
EA I feel your pain. Pets are family. Olive locked in the car made me smile.
Thank you. I keep thinking I see Olive out of the corner of my eye. I can’t figure out how she managed to get in our car!
we lost 3 in the last 4 months, 2 unexpectedly. It was been 6 weeks and I still hear Pippi meowing.
I’m sorry. That is so sad to lose three in four months! I still hear Olive, too.
