Red has been missing in action for a few weeks, but finally showed up again this week. I also spotted Mrs. but she flew away before I could get a photo. My only disappointment in seeing Red was that my Bird Buddy bird feeder didn’t capture his picture or video. I think Red is standing outside the camera’s range. He’s sneaky that way!
I’m not sure if it’s all the rain that has kept the birds, including Red, at bay. I have heard Red chirping several times, but I wasn’t able to spot him. Also, his adopted fledgling, a Brown Headed Cowbird, is no longer hanging out with Red or Mrs.
I say “what a difference a day makes” because Red’s feathers are grown in. He’s back to his beautiful self.
This photo is from early September when Red was molting. Poor thing. Maybe he was embarrassed to being seen and photographed until his feathers grew back!
But in typical fashion of Red, when I fill the bird feeder, he’s once again the first bird in. He likes to stop by early in the morning and in the evenings. Mrs. is never too far away.

Oh, today has been a busy day! We have a workmen/friend on our porch doing a skirt, so the pugs can’t go underneath and I have been using this time to work on the inside in some odd places with dusting and organizing when the hubby is not around. That Mrs. is fast!
That’s a good idea to put a skirt around your porch to keep the pugs from going underneath. I’m having the busiest weeks with PT, random doctor’s appointments and getting together socially. My husband and I both have doctor’s appointments today and we go to PT together.
We took a break yesterday and enjoyed an early dinner out nearby at an Italian Restaurant. Leftovers for tonight! So much food. I go to PT tomorrow and Mike has doc appt. later this week, also.
I love leftovers! My husband sees a trainer at PT and I’m seeing my husband’s former PT. We schedule them at the same time several days a week so we can go together.
He’s looking so handsome! Glad to see even Red’s bad hair days eventually get fixed! 🙂

It’s nice to see Red looking beautiful again. He was looking a little rough a few months ago, but he’s looking good now.
After not seeing Red for a couple weeks and the fact he looked so rough, I was worried about him. We’ve been having lots of rainy days lately. Red and Mrs. must be hiding out to avoid the rain.
