      • Berkeley Bowl has hot foods too of different ethnicities, an amazing bakery and deli, best seafood selections and all such a selection of dry goods and frozen foods. I wish I had one where I live!

      • We have a few groceries like that in the Tampa Bay are catering to different ethnicities, bakery, and delis. Our area has many Asian, Middle Eastern, and island stores. Also Eastern European and German. It is pretty convenient. We are a little spoiled.

      • That’s so nice you have all of those ethnic foods nearby. It’s really a special treat to have it all at the Berkeley Bowl. Where we live in Arizona, our area is mostly midwesterners there to escape the winter, so not much diversity of foods.

  1. I’m envious of that store!
It’s the youngest grands 10th birthday so there’s stuff going on around that but tomorrow daughter, oldest grand and I are going to go to a local No Kings protest nearby for a bit. Our overnights are turning really cold and the eastern plains had a tornado warning in place for an hour or so last night.

    • That sounds like a wonderful time with your grandkids. We had a tornado warning in Berkeley the other day! Thankfully it turned out to be light rain. I love the store and after my son picked me up at the airport, he took me there for groceries. I got hot clam chowder that I had for dinner and sourdough rolls for two days! Yum. Just as good as anything from Washington.

  2. If Red and Mrs. decide to leave, what a way to go out. The last pic in your selection of Red is my all time favorite. I know I’ve said that before, but this one is it. HIs Red feathers jump off the screen. So crisp, so clear. You can even see up close on his feet and feathers in his crown. Wow. A really cool pix.

  3. I really like all of your feathered friend photos (even though I don’t comment very often). I was away from home all of September, and can’t seem to attract the birds back. A lack of water and food I think made them fly elsewhere. Hopefully they will return, I miss looking at them out my kitchen window.

    • Thank you for your comment. It’s so nice to know someone is enjoying my birds, even if you don’t comment often. Hopefully, your birds will come back now that you’re home.

  4. It’s supposed to get to 71 on Sunday….im going to a Jane Austen panel tomorrow which includes a great to the 5th power niece of Jane. Seeing an off broadway show, and taking a cruise on Hudson to see leaves. Tonight I made pasta and going to watch the Brett Goldstein Roman e movie on apple

  5. Your bird friends are beautiful! I love the photos of your grocery store. What an abundance of produce! The potatoes photo is particularly pleasing, all those neat stacks and rows.

  6. Great photos, and that store looks like a lot of fun!
I’m always behind in reading, so maybe you asked about last weekend? HAHA!
Our weather is still very warm, but it’s getting nicer each day, with a little less humidity.

    • I’m glad you enjoyed my photos! The weather was beautiful in Berkeley, except for one rainy day. We had rain and storms in Arizona while I was in California. Now that I’m home, it’s gorgeous.
