Unusual weather

Here are some photos I took of our gray day:

What is your weather like today? Is it normal for this time of year?

  1. Seeing the snowfall there made me feel cold. You have the courage to survive in such weather.
But here in India, it’s still winter. It’s so cold that I don’t feel like leaving the house.

  2. We’ve been told that a few storms have been blowing up our way from the south and our southeast is getting a lot of snow right now, as are the mountains. In short, thanks for your rain storm because we really need the moisture up here! So sorry that you and husband were sick. Seems like that is common for many after vacations and being out among strange/new germs. We got about 3 inches of snow overnight but temps will warm so it will be gone just as quickly. Take care EA.

    • Thanks! I’m glad you finally got some snow and our wet weather headed your way! It does seem that we get sick after we travel. It’s such a bummer after being so excited for a trip to spend a week feeling miserable.

  3. The weather has been crazy, hasn’t it?! I work remotely and a colleague called in the morning and then again in the afternoon and noted that I’d added a coat. He was skeptical about rains and low temps in Phoenix. 🤣

    • It has been wild weather this week. We’ve been much colder than our kids in the Bay Area. That’s funny about you wearing a coat and your colleague questioning Arizona weather.

  4. Wow man, you guys are getting some nutty weather for sure! You have a pool, I’m jealous! My yard is way too small for a pool. The eyes on the geckos do look very much like an alien, funny! it’s great that you didn’t spread the coughs around, haha! I hope you guys feel much better soon, and happy birthday to your hubby! Have a dandy weekend, Elizabeth. 😊

  5. It’s colder here than most years. The sun hardly is putting in an appearance and to top it, our inverter has developed a fault, so I’m tucked in my quilt.

  6. Love the coyote photo!
Its 50 degrees here which is unusual as well and rainy. Better than being cold and icy!

Sorry about having to postpone your hubby’s bday celebration. Glad you still got Chinese.

    • I’ve been living off the Chinese food the past few days. Glad we did that because I’m not up to cooking. Rain and 50 reminds me of where I grew up north of Seattle.

  7. That is pretty cold for Arizona!
So sorry you both got sick—seems like this is almost normal protocol after traveling, right? We’ve still not celebrated Christmas with my in-laws; MIL was sick for Christmas and then things got extra busy.
Hopefully you’re both on the mend by now.
We’re in N. Georgia currently and it’s cold–so yes, typical for this time of year.
