I captured the morning light in this bunny’s ears. We have bunnies everywhere, but I mostly see them on my morning walks as they dash across the road. They are frightened of big old me!
I was sitting in the waiting room of my husband’s PT yesterday, looking through the week’s photos I had captured. I am sharing the ones I like best — that didn’t make it into Monday or Wednesday’s posts. Enjoy a few of my week’s favorite photos.

It looked like Red was having a bad hair day or for some reason fluffed himself up.

A Mourning Dove looking grand in our backyard.

We don’t often see these guys. I looked up Arizona black bird with black beak and yellow eye. Grackle is what came up.

A rare appearance to see Red and Mrs. in the backyard at the same time — without any fledglings.

A quail baby growing up. They do grow up so quickly!

This was a baby pic I took a few weeks ago. We don’t have any quail this tiny anymore.

Here’s Red a few second after the fluffy look. Does anyone know what the fluffy feathers is about?
Which photo or photos do you like best?
What are your weekend plans?

I love the bunny photo! Do you ever share your photos with other patients in the waiting room? Sometimes I am tempted to do so, but I hesitate to involve them with my photos of garden and Razz. Sometimes I think they would like the interruption! Very hot here, we are staying in, resting and enjoying the quiet.
I’m glad you liked the bunny photo. The light was just right. I’m usually the only one in the waiting room. Everyone else is going in and out as the patients. I drive my husband because they really work over his knee and it swells up so badly. He’s in pain on the way home.
Oh, that is good you are the driver. My appointment this week was about wearing compression stockings for my legs to help with my hip as there is some swelling. Then Mike had his stint come out which should improve things but was painful. I often think of reaching out to the other Vets and families when we are in the waiting room. Sometimes I am curious if I served with them but often there is so much drama and tension in the room that I am cautious about saying much.
I don’t mind my hour in the waiting room alone. I either take a book or my laptop and it’s a relaxing time. After my husband’s surgery, the doctor and physical therapist said his swelling was in the top five they had ever seen. He’s at five weeks now post op and they both moved him to the number one spot of worst ever swelling. They want him to wear a compression sleeve at all times when he isn’t elevating and icing. We are renting a $4,000 ice machine that has compression and he uses it seven or eight times a day. His knee has been bone on bone since he was 17 and there was so much damage. Also, it’s been swelling for all these years. I hope the compression stockings work for you, too!
Thanks, they are challenging to get on but I am reviewing YouTube on how to…once on, I leave them on most of the day except when lying down. I noticed new aches but I have another appointment next week. So, we shall see.
I always tell myself one day I will make more of a connection with the veterans in front of me from Vietnam to the more recent ones with all the tatts. If I did serve with them, it has been so long we would not recognize one another. Someday, There is such a variety of people. Yet, my focus is always on the appointment, as my husband would say, ‘the immediate mission.’
Great photos!!
Thanks!
All of your photos are lovely, but that bunny made my morning. I have my own pet rabbit and seeing them out in the wild always brings me so much joy.
I’m volunteering at a Pride event on Saturday and Sunday hanging out with my family for Father’s Day. We may go see a movie.
I’m glad you enjoyed the bunny. Thanks for reminding me it’s Father’s Day! We have a quiet weekend after a super busy week. I’ll have to think of something special for Sunday.
Love the bunny ears and the fluffy feathers! ❤️
Thanks! It’s so much fun to see the photos on my laptop and what turns up.
Maybe Red is in Defense Mode? Mr. Bunny is sooo cute! The Mourning Dove seems to have a very tiny head compared to its body. I have them in my backyard hanging out on the birdbaths every eve, so cute! I hope your hubby’s PT is going very well, Elizabeth. ☺️
Thanks! I didn’t even realize Red was fluffed up when I took the photo. I was taking a series of shots and one came out like that!
I’ll bet Red had a kerfuffle with Mrs. Red, and she won. Her feathers are not ruffled at all.
Ha! 😅
