    • Thank you! I’ve had the Birdbuddy for a couple years and where I live in Arizona, the plastic that holds the camera if getting brittle in the sun. I worry that someday I’ll have to replace it if it breaks.

      • Yay! If you bought the same brand as mine, let me know if you need any help setting it up. FYI, my son was on the team that helped fundraise and bring Bird Buddy to market. Unfortunately, he no longer has the account and it went to Kickstarter I believe. But it was his favorite project to date.

      • I love my Bird Buddy with the solar panel. The two developers are from Yugoslavia and it’s their original idea and design. Plus they are always updating the camera and firmware? Software? Whatever it’s called. I get updates on my phone and get new features. Yes, I’m happy to help.

      • I liked the original because my son worked on bringing it to market. I ordered it on my son’s word while it was in development. The copies were stolen by Chinese. Of course by Bird Buddy manufacturing them in China, that was going to happen. Also, my son not longer has the account.

  1. What do you mean uneventful?? Look at all the beautiful birds you have. You were able to celebrate nature, wonderful. I love all these birds. People pay to go on trips to bird watch. You can watch from your back yard. Amazing! I always love that red cardinal… but the Hawks, magnificent.

    • Thanks! I enjoy the quail so much. I throw birdseed on the ground and they come into my yard by the dozens. My favorite are the babies in the spring and early summer. They line up in a row and follow their parents everywhere.

      • I will try! They are beyond cute! We had a nest of eggs in planters two years in a row. The first year they hatched. The second year, the eggs were abandoned, because the quail picked a planter next to our garage while we were out of town. Once we got home, we driving in and out, the quail mom and dad left.

  2. Since you originally got your Bird Buddy I have seen so many as I walk around town looking at yards. Those things are really popular! I can’t even try to predict what will come over this next year… There are a number of family things happening around me, sort of on the fringes of my personal life, but all still have an impact. I hope by this time next year all of that is settled.

    • That’s interesting that there are Bird Buddies in your town. Mine has a solar panel on the little roof to keep the camera charged. I wonder if people hard wire them in your town, or have to constantly bring the camera inside to charge? I hope all goes well with all your family things happening around you.

  3. I see a photo book in your future. You could call it: The life and times at the EA Nature Preserve and Aviary. What do you think EA? Ha, ha, love the photos. I would never get anything done at your house. I would be looking out the window all the time. The only thing I get here are “damn” squirrels who get into our feeder anytime I put out birdseed. Ha, ha.

  4. I love all your birds. What kind of hawks are those, and does that one facing the camera only have one leg/claw? You have a lovely variety of birds and I never tire of seeing them, even your stealth flamingos. 🙂
Wishing for us all to have a peaceful year to come!
