I hate email. Not all the time, but often enough.
Today my inbox is flooded with subscription confirmations like the one above.Which makes me wonder if my email has been hacked? I’m literally getting thousands of emails in all languages from random companies asking me to confirm my subscription request.
What is up with that?
Of course I can only read the ones in English. They are addressed to all sorts of different people, none of them me, but they state the subscription request came from my email address.
It makes me nervous that I have been hacked, have a virus or someone is out peddling my email address.

Has anything like this happened to you? How did you stop it? Should I create a new email address?
Do you think I’ve been hacked?
Yeah…something is up with your email…be careful
I changed passwords to websites.
Smart idea
I’m going to set up a new email account too.
👍
I seems fishy. Better check.
I’ve been advised to get a new email address.
Do that. I think an outlook address can be linked to your old one!
I just finished setting up a new email address.
I have experienced that Gmail is more safe that Hotmail.
I used gmail because we use it for our community newsletter. In three months since we opened the account, we haven’t had a single piece of junk mail!
Same with me. My Hotmail is full of strange emails and very few junk emails in Gmail
That’s an issue! You’ve had the worst luck with all things related to computers/technology lately, but this is really worrisome.
I have had bad luck lately. I thought I was in the clear with a new laptop and then this email issue popped up.
Either you have been hacked or being baited to open a link. If they hacked your email, they can use that to gain access to all sorts of stuff. Be diligent and watch ALL your computer access points.
Thank you. I have created a new email address as of right now. Also, I changed passwords on accounts.
When it is a foreign language, I truly believe they are baiting you to click the link for the “English” version.
Whatever you do, don’t click the link. Mark the emails as spam and report them. Make sure your email isn’t signed in anywhere else.
I didn’t! Thank you.
