The Color Lallow

Easter Egg hunt
Palm Springs annual Easter Egg Hunt in Ruth Hardy Park. My kids are standing on the right with their friends.

What words did you or your children use that were unusual?

What sayings did your family use?

  1. One of my daughters would nod viciously when she liked an idea that was thrown into the mix, like when we were discussing where to have lunch after church. Along with the nod, she would enthusiastically say “thas a gooey dah”. (That’s a good idea). It was so cute. We still say something is a gooey dah when we agree with an idea, but the vicious nod has, thankfully, not continued. Haha!

  2. Such a sweet memory! Most of our quaint words have been forgotten at this point, although some may be recorded in each kids baby book… Chipotle was always an interesting one. Jeff chose to pronounce it Chip-Lloyd and we still like to remind him of that.

  3. Oh my goodness, these are so sweet. Thanks for the smiles. I still say some of the words that my girls did as kids with their little lisps and speech impediments that I almost wish they’d not outgrown!
Lindsay couldn’t say her R’s very well and I could die hearing her say her favorite color is PUPLE.

So funny about the chicken and the helicopter! Why must they grow up?
