  1. Thank you for this deliciously wonderful post that made me chuckle throughout. I can just picture it—the tighty whitey newspaper replacements, the counter cruising, the Houini acts…what a guy! How can you not love a handsome, creative fellow like that? I’m going to go chuckle over your LA Times story now. You and Angus made my day. Thanks!

  2. Oh…what a beautiful, loving testament to the remarkable Angus…free spirit and bon vivant! What fun you had with him! I suspect he deserved every bit of the attention he got – through antics or being a ‘cover dog’. Beautiful photos…even more precious memories. Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth! 🥰

  3. Oh, oh, oh, Elizabeth. This is so beautiful! And wow, Angus was handsome…and hilarious!! My dear dog Biscuit picked up newspapers as well and had a hard time understanding it was only ours that he was supposed to get. Totally understandable, don’t you think? And the self-serve for butter and counter surfing. So funny!! And just to add one related note – I found a fork that Cooper had taken out in the back yard today… 🙂

Loved this beautiful portrait of a dog. <3 <3 <3

    • I’m so glad you enjoyed my Angus story. I thought as a dog lover and puppy owner you could relate. That’s funny about the newspapers and how many they were supposed to pick up! Watch out for more forks!

  4. Oh my what a great dog. It sounds like God gave Angus the ability to sneak out of your house because his heart was so big, wanted more people to love. Beautiful post. Yes, I can understand not wanting to ever get another dog. We have some of the same discussion. I’m not sure we’ll ever get another after Nittany. I hope we don’t have to make that decision for a long time. Thanks so much for the shout out.

    • Angus was highly motivated by food. I think he saw getting out as a device to find people to feed him! I hope you have many more years with Nittany. From time to time, I want a dog, but then the ability to travel without worrying about a dog is nice. We are content with Olive the cat.
