I got back home from running errands right before the storm hit. My phone gave that loud alarm with a flash flood warning stating to shelter in place, that it was a matter of life and death. For hours the rain poured and the thunder was constant. It was exciting but the noise level was exhausting.
After the storm, we had a beautiful sunset. Today the rain should be here at 11 a.m. and last until the sun goes down again. I guess this is the Monsoon season I’ve heard so much about.

I wish we had more. We have had rain predicted most days this week, but it only happened once.
I played both of your videos. Very calming is the rain and I like the alligator lurking on your deck. Is that an outdoor fire or grill? Either way, your pool and the cactus area look inviting. Enjoy the day.
The video of rain didn’t capture the ongoing sound of thunder! We have an outdoor fireplace and grill. It’s nice with the privacy.
That is why I like the privacy of our plants and the curtains we can close. I like our retired marine and his wife across the way but privacy is nice! Especially when I am weeding and my knees give out and I moan.
That’s funny! Yes, we love the privacy. Our old house was downtown Palm Springs, but you couldn’t see into our yard because we had a ficus hedge around it.

We only had rain for about ten minutes last night but the night before was a major one and I believe there are more coming this weekend or early next week.
We keep getting storms forecast each day. But after that big one, none have materialized.
Oh, and was that Alligator real?
It’s made out of concrete. The former owners left all sorts of creatures like that in the backyard.
Ohhh I love rain. This summer has been so hot, we need some rain. It literally rained for only 5 minutes this whole summer!
There was so much rain while we are away on vacation that the main freeway, Interstate 10 washed out! I hope it’s fixed before we head home.
