A Family’s Secret: “Slivers”

“In a single week in the summer of 1973, a quiet suburban neighborhood implodes when generations of mystical deceit become too much to bear. Drawn to the web of secrets and lies, the other worldly slivers refuse to be ignored, pushing one family to the brink.”

I’ve been reading reviews and snippets of “Slivers” on Vicki’s blog VictoriaPonders and I couldn’t wait to get my copy.

This is the third book by bloggers that I’ve read in a few weeks. I wrote reviews of Eve Marie’s “Quest for Absence” and P.J. Gudka’s “Perfect” HERE. Eve’s blog is Cupcakecacheblog and Pooja’s is Lifesfinewhine.

  1. Elizabeth! I’m thrilled with your review! Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments and insights. Means the world to me to have your generous endorsement. Xo! 😘

  2. Sounds very creative. I am not one for spooky books but it does sound interesting with the and turns. I do love our WP community. Are you still working on the childrens manuscript you had written? Rooting for you!

    • Thanks for asking about my children’s manuscript. I have several that I’m working on and looking for places to submit. Vicki’s book was exciting and fun.

      • You are welcome!! Have you gone to the website query tracker? Its really good! Provides a HUGE list of publishers for you to query and gives you information about them and keeps track of the queries you make.

      • I have used that in the past. Also SCBWI has an annual market report that lists all children’s publishers and if they accept submissions. Then I check out the websites for more information.

  3. I really enjoyed your review of Slivers, I’m currently reading Surviving Sue and hoping to read Slivers when I can get my hands on it. Thanks so much for mentioning my book too (and reading and reviewing it!). We have so many talented writers on WordPress, we’ll never run out of books to read.

    • Yay! I had a feast of incredible bloggers’ books the past couple weeks including yours. I connected so much with Vicki and “Surviving Sue” because I wrote a fiction manuscript based on my family history. It was a similar story to Vicki’s but divided up into two parents with issues rather than one. Vicki had one parent with all those issues. I wrote this manuscript several decades ago but decided against publishing it at the time until they both won’t be hurt by it.

Kind Comments Are Always Welcome!
