Here’s a view from a Saturday afternoon luxury home tour. This is outside the living room on the patio overlooking an infinity pool.
We watched Michigan vs. USC football at our friends’ house, a mile up the hill from us Saturday. It was interesting because the other couple went to Michigan and my husband is a devout USC fan.
I was afraid it would be awkward, but it was a good game and Michigan won by three points.
At halftime, our friends suggested we go on a luxury home tour in their neighborhood. Every Saturday afternoon you can tour amazing homes in their massive development that has everything from condos to mansions on seven golf courses. We visited three homes. The first was all white, with white shiny counters, white walls and all white everything else. It’s was boring and I’m not wasting your time with photos.
The second was amazing. Fully furnished with the most unique art, fixtures, countertops, stone, etc. For a cool $6.5 million fully furnished. I didn’t take any photos, but here’s a LINK so you can see for yourself. The photos don’t do it justice. In fact, it looks crazy busy but in person it was really unique, fun and not overwhelming.
The third was high on the mountain with the most spectacular views. Here’s a LINK to the sales info. It was 9,411 square feet and $5.9 million, unfurnished.

View from a bedroom of the third house we toured.

Bathtub in the Master Bath.
Of course we’re never going to buy a home like this. Nor do we want to live in a country club community. But, it’s fun to take a look and wonder about the people who are selling these homes. Where are they moving to? Why are they selling?
Would you rather watch football or look at crazy luxury homes?

Wow – those mountain views are spectacular! I fall into the watching football category but love that you shared these photos with us!
The views were better in person. It was a fun day of football and a home tour.
I need to be honest EA- I would prefer neither of those things. Not a sports person and those homes are so beyond the reach of anyone I know IRL. I love looking at homes but the mansions are so unreal. My daughter and I have a running text going as they look for a new home in Colorado. It’s been so ironic to see how her younger self has matured and how financial reality has set in for her family. We are looking at “realistic” homes and comparing features and enjoying a more modest adventure! 🙂
I agree. The houses were over the top. It was interesting to spend a few minutes inside and wonder who lives like that. The views from the mountain home was spectacular. Our friends’ home and our home are on a different scale. I enjoy college football, but only watching a few teams I follow.
I’m not a fan of football or home tours, but would probably take the latter. It’s mind-blowing to me how much some people spend on their homes.
It’s so over the top at our friends’ development Desert Mountain. It’s fun to look, but I couldn’t imagine taking care of a home like those.
Crazy luxury homes for the win….
I’m with you. It was the perfect thing to do to break up a football game I didn’t care about.
I’d much rather look at luxury homes than watch football. Of course I’d have to bring a towel to wipe my stool off the floors, but still.
😉
Drool! I meant drool and spellcheck changed it.
Too funny!
🤣🤣🤣
Ha! I understood what you meant. Got to love autocorrect.
Watch football. Looking at McMansions only makes me feel poor. I do not need that shit in my life.
I like football but only one or two teams. Michigan and USC aren’t it. I have a different view of those homes. I’m grateful I don’t have a giant home like that to maintain and clean!
Wow — tough call! Depends on who’s playing! But goodness. Hard not to love a good house tour especially when the finishes are fun and unique. I’m with you about it being more interesting! 🥰
I’m with you. If it’s a team I care about, like my daughter’s Utes or my UW Huskies, I get into the football game. If it’s not a team I like, I would rather do a home tour. 😊
Swing by and pick me up! I’ll tag along! 🥰😜🥰
It’s every Saturday! 👍🏼
😎😎😎
😊
Can I bring a bathing suit and tour the infinity pool while y’all watch football or tour homes?
Ha! Wouldn’t that be fun. It’s kind of a scary pool though. It’s drops off so far. The house is going on auction and it was unfurnished. Our friends asked where the furniture was and the realtor said it all went to consignment stores. Our friends said it was the first home they’ve seen that wasn’t staged or didn’t have a stick of furniture. Makes us think this multi million dollar home is a distress sale!
Wow interesting story. I am still up for the pool!
👍🏼
That pool…wow! I would tour luxury homes with you any time over watching football. Hugs, C
The views were spectacular — especially overlooking the pool. At night they said you can see the lights of downtown Scottsdale and Phoenix. What a gorgeous location, but I didn’t like the three levels, stairs everywhere between living room, kitchen, etc. I guess I’m pretty picky! 😅
I’ve always loved looking at model homes, so a luxury home tour would be fun. But I don’t know what we’d do with 9400 sq. ft! It’s amazing how others live, isn’t it? And yet, that pool and bathtub would be nice. 😁
I’ll take the pool and bathtub but pass on 9,400 square feet. My brother lived in a house bigger than that and I packed a suitcase to hang out downstairs! Otherwise it was a trek back up to our room with two small kids and what they needed like diapers!
😁😁
😅
These homes are too luxurious. Not my cup of tea 🍵
Not mine either, but fun to look at.
Beauty is always a wonder to behold
😁👍🏼
