I was watching the quail yesterday in our backyard after I threw a few handfuls of seed on the ground.
I began to notice shadows of the quail walking up and down a tree trunk.
I also loved watching the quail sitting on branches. When I first noticed them they were all on the branches. By the time I got my phone out to record, they had mostly jumped down to the ground.
Last weekend we were too busy. We went out with friends on Friday, Saturday I cooked oxtail soup for neighbors, and Sunday we got invited to watch the football games with friends.
This weekend, I’m looking for quiet time to read and work on taxes.

I like both. Tend to prefer the quiet end of the social spectrum. Saturday we’re having a few people over (from 5 till 8) to celebrate my birthday. Remember Tuesday’s with Morrie? He was asked the question, on if he had one day to live, what would that look like..he then goes on to describe what that would be like for him. I was giving hat some thought as another mile stone birthday approaches, and one of the things I wanted to do, was have just a small group of people spend it with me, no presents, just meal together, then play a game of Greed. Looking forward to catching up, getting to know one couple a little better, and lots of laughter. KFC extra crispy is on the menu. Rest of the weekend I will lay low. ps those shadows are the coolest! I can see why they caught your eye.

Cool about the quail. Love.nature. i enjoy both! But I well say that I would rather be with one or a couple of people at a time versus a large group of people! I really enjoy the one on one.

Mostly a solitary person I think. This weekend I’m dog sitting so with these two it could be a party!
I’m a solitary person too but I also enjoy company, but it wears me out! Have fun with the pups.
I’m seeing a movie with a friend today. Going for ramen with my husband and the Met tomorrow. Sunday brunch and theater with one of my besties. Plus laundry and hoping to crank out 1500 words for my wip

Just gotta enjoy the little things (the shadows and birds). This weekend will be super busy – lunch with friends then a movie with other friends. I need to get my taxes done, gotta pay for a cruise.
I am procrastinating on taxes. Ugh. Maybe I’ll get them done by next week.

I’m catching up on all my favorite blogs this week, working on promo for my book which releases 2/23, and I’m almost positive I’ll never be done with all the laundry. I might have to buy new clothes. I’m appreciating all the rain we’re getting and enjoying a few days alone after a busy few weeks with all our kids. Hugs, C

Sounds like fun both weekends. I prefer quiet time on my weekends, but also the weekend is the only time I get to see my family.
