Time flies!

Wow! How can this be?

I was watching a terrible football game yesterday (we are 49er fans) when this message popped up on my phone.

If you’d have asked me, I’d have said I’ve been blogging for five or six years. Time does indeed fly when you’re having fun.

As for the Eagles winning the game instead of the 49ers, I’m excited because of a player from my daughter’s university, Britain Covey, who is on the Eagles. I’m a big Britain Covey Fan.

Britain’s grandfather is Stephen Covey who wrote “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” and owned Franklin Day Planners. Britain played football at the University of Utah while my daughter swam. Although 5’8″ tall, was quick, smart and returned punts for touchdowns, up to 98 yards I believe. He was a team leader of the Utes.

I never thought he’d make it into the pros, let alone to the Super Bowl as an undrafted rookie!

If you follow football, who are you rooting for in the Super Bowl?

How many years have you been blogging? Does it seem longer or shorter than the actual time?

  1. Well that’s fun to have that connection going into the Super Bowl! I’m not a fan, but in spirit I will root for the Eagles for you! I think I’ve been on WP for 12 years, but I blogged for sometime on Blogger before coming here so maybe 15 or 16 years total.

  2. I think my second blogiversary was last weekend, but I never saw anything from WordPress about it, and I kinda forgot. I’m still a newbie at this.
As for the Super Bowl, I’m a Miami dolphins fan because we have ties to Tua and the Tagovailoa family from our Hawaii days. Once they were eliminated, I don’t really have a preference, but 2 things have me routing for the eagles- wait 3 things. 1. They have the only player in the game with Hawaii ties. (#56 Isaac Seumalo). 2. The yellow shoes some of the Chiefs wear confuse me and think a flag was thrown. Don’t like em. Haha! 3. The eagles were my high school mascot. Thin rationalizations, I know, but it’s all I got. 🙂

    • I like your Hawaiian ties. My husband watched a documentary last week about the community of football players in Hawaii. I totally understand not liking shoes or uniforms 😊

  3. As a fomer Baltimoron, a dislike for the Eagles and the team formerly known as the Redskins is in my DNA, so I’ll pull (can;t root) for KC. The end of blogging year 2 is just a month away.

  4. Not really into football as much as my wife. If we go anywhere to watch it, I’ll be going for the food and commercials…. Just double checked, looks like I started w/ WordPress in 2007. and you’re right, it is crazy how fast those years go by! Congrat’ on 9 years.

  5. Whoa, that’s just one year shy from the big one-oh! That’s a long time to be blogging indeed. So many things have happened since 2014. Do you go back to your first posts to see how you’ve evolved over time? I do, and cringe a lot 😛

Congrats and here’s to many more years!
